Micro firms least troubled by late payments

A survey by debt recovery service Positive Collections has revealed that micro businesses (firms with one to nine employees) are the least likely to worry about debt, with 45% claiming they are paid on time.

However, 74% of small firms report that they are now more likely to accept excuses from late payers, prompting speculation that hundreds could be suffering from poor cash flow. One in ten firms avoid chasing late payment for fear of losing business.
