Fit note still confuses businesses
Businesses are still confused by how they should respond to GPs' advice on the new fit notes, according to feedback from advice service Healthy Working Lives.
The service says that while initial reports have been very encouraging, there is confusion as to whether an employee can return to work before the end date stated on the fit note. Healthy Working Lives stressed that a GP's advice is not binding and employees can return to work before the end date if both parties agree on the matter.
