Non-food inflation at lowest level since 2009
Non-food inflation was at its lowest level since November 2009 in July 2010, according to figures from the British Retail Consortium (BRC).

However, food inflation increased from 1.7% in June 2010 to 2.5% in July, while overall shop price inflation remained unchanged. The BRC's director general said the figures show that the high street is "not the main source of inflation".
