Government reviewing regulations on right to request time off for training
The Government has launched a consultation on the regulation that grants employees the right to request time off from their employers for training.
The regulation came into force for businesses with more than 250 employees on 6 April this year, and extends to all other businesses from April 2011. The consultation closes on 15 September and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) is inviting views from employees, businesses and other interested parties as part of the review.
