UK inflation rate slows in June
The rate of inflation in the UK slowed for the second consecutive month in June, down to 3.2% from 3.4% in May, according to figures from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).
The fall was helped by price cuts from retailers and the falling cost of petrol. Clothing and footwear prices fell by 2.1% between May and June, which is the largest monthly decrease for 14 years.
