Regulation threatens business growth, says report
A survey of business owners has revealed that the majority view regulation as a barrier to the growth of their firm.
The Business Perceptions Survey 2010, which was carried out on behalf of the Local Better Regulation Office (LBRO) and the National Audit Office (NAO), shows that 56% of businesses agree that the level of regulation affecting their business is an obstacle to their success. Respondents find it most burdensome to keep up with existing regulation, as well as changes to regulations and the introduction of new laws.
