EU backtracks on standardised food labelling
MEPs have backtracked on proposals to force UK food producers to label groceries by weight or volume and not the number of items in a pack.
Draft legislation was originally drawn up to ban labelling products with the number, however a German MEP has said that the European Parliament is now likely to allow labelling of products by number as well.
