Bribery Act will come into force by April
The Bribery Act will come into force from April 2011, the Government has announced, which will make it a corporate offence to fail to prevent bribery.
Justice Secretary Ken Clarke told the House of Commons that guidance on the Act would not be published until the New Year, following a consultation in September, meaning employers will have only three months to ensure they have policies in place to avoid committing an offence.
