Regional Development Agencies will be scrapped

The nine Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) in England are to be scrapped, according to the Emergency Budget from the Government.

They will be replaced by Local Enterprise Partnerships during a process that will start with a White Paper, which is due to be published later this summer. The Government has said replacing the RDAs would "improve co-ordination" of investment in the economy.
