Government set to overhaul licensing laws
The Government has announced that it will overhaul the UK alcohol licensing laws.
The overhaul includes plans to ban the sale of below-cost alcohol, as well as reviewing alcohol taxation and pricing and allowing councils to shut down shops that persistently sell alcohol to underage people. There are also predictions that the Government will scrap 24-hour licensing.
