Taxman may target tradesmen, says expert
A tax expert is predicting that HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) may start targeting tradesmen for undeclared tax next year as part of its bid to boost the Revenue's coffers.
Fiona Fernie, tax investigations partner at business advisory firm BDO LLP, told BAD News she believes that disclosure opportunities for people working in trades will come into force next year after HMRC introduced a disclosure plan for medical professionals early in 2010.
