Highly skilled staff in demand during recovery, predicts CBI
The demand for highly skilled staff will increase as the economy recovers, the CBI has predicted in a new report.
The report, called 'Ready to grow: business priorities for education and skills', forecasts that employers will not be able to find employees with the appropriate skills to fill high-level jobs. The report includes the results of a survey of employers, which reveals that nearly half are already finding it difficult to recruit staff with science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) skills.
