Report warns employers' NI rise will reduce growth and increase unemployment
A 1% rise in employers' National Insurance (NI) contributions will dramatically increase unemployment and threaten the growth of the economy, according to think-tank Policy Exchange.
It has published a report which claims that increasing employers' NI would be "one of the most damaging ways to raise revenue" and urges the Government to review its decision to increase NI from April 2011.
