Report reveals changes to payment trends
A new report by the Payments Council has highlighted a radical shift in the way both consumers and businesses have paid over the last decade.
'The Way We Pay 2010' shows that debit cards have increasingly replaced cash and cheque as a method of payment. The Council is also predicting that by 2018 only 45% of all transactions will be made with cash, while only 0.8% of payments will be with a cheque.
