Hospitality and catering firms urged to voice concern on Digital Economy Act

Representatives from across the hospitality and catering industry have urged hotel, café, pub and restaurant owners to voice their opposition to the recently introduced Digital Economy Act 2010.

Speaking to Caterersearch.com, a solicitor warned that "it is a very real scenario" that businesses could have their Internet connection stopped due to illegal activities of customers and urged business owners to petition the Government. The call comes after the British Hospitality Association (BHA) last week told BAD News that it is very concerned about the effect the Digital Economy Act could have on the hospitality and catering industry.
