Small firms losing out on energy deals, says FPB
Small firms are missing out on energy deals and larger businesses are able to access better energy prices, according to research by the Forum of Private Business (FPB).
A survey of small firms shows that 84% of respondents say that rising utilities costs are a major concern. The research comes as Government data reveals that electricity prices for small and medium-sized businesses increased by up to 17% between the third quarter of 2008 and the same period in 2009.
