The FPB is warning small firms that there is less than a month left to lodge an appeal about their business rates over the past five years. Business owners who believe they have been overcharged have until 31 March to register their appeal. The FPB claims that around 160,000 small firms have won backdated reductions in their business rates since 2005, while many more may be eligible without realising it.
