Government announces measures to speed up planning decisions
Planning Minister John Healey has announced the introduction of new measures designed to speed-up the planning process.
The measures include new regulations, which come into force from 6 April. The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) will allow councils to raise funds from developers of new building projects, in order to fund the development of new schools, roads, parks and leisure centres.
