Third of public sector payments still late, report claims
A third of payments from the public sector to small businesses are still being made late, according to research by the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
The results of the study show that local Government is most likely to pay a quarter of invoices late, while central Government and Government agencies pay a third of invoices late. The FSB calls the statistics "shocking" considering the Government put the Prompt Payment Code in place.
