Public want tougher ID checks on alcohol sales
A survey of the public has revealed that the majority of people believe identification checks, not a ban on promotions, will help to cut alcohol-related crime.
The results of the Ipsos MORI survey shows that more than half of respondents said they would like to see wider use of proof-of-age schemes, while 83% want the Challenge 21 scheme to be mandatory.
