Manufacturing enjoys strongest growth for two years in December
The British manufacturing industry enjoyed its strongest growth for two years in December, according to the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS)/Markit Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI).
The index stood at 54.1 in December, compared to 51.8 in November, and is the highest number recorded since November 2007.
