Insolvency levels set to worsen, claims report
The level of financial distress among UK firms is set to rise during the second half of 2010, according to the latest Red Flag Alert from business recovery firm Begbies Traynor.
The report shows that more than 140,000 companies faced 'significant' or critical financial problems during the last quarter of 2009. However, Begbies Traynor predicts this figure could rise as a result of the ending of various business support initiatives, such as HM Revenue & Customs' (HMRC) Business Payment Support Service.
