Vetting and Barring Scheme will put "massive pressure" on care sector
The recent announcement that the Independent Safeguarding Authority's (ISA) Vetting and Barring Scheme (VBS) will be scaled back does not go far enough and the scheme will place "massive pressure" on recruitment in the care sector, an industry expert has warned.
Matthew Sanders, chief executive of de Poel, a recruitment agency for the care sector, told BAD News that the VBS will put more pressure on care recruitment, where there are already massive skills shortages.
