Small businesses innovating during recession
The majority of small firms have introduced new products and services in order to survive the recession, according to recent research from the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).
A poll of business owners by the FSB, in partnership with ICM Research, reveals that 51% of respondents said they plan to continue to introduce new products during 2010. The survey also shows that many small businesses would like more support from the Government. Nearly a third said a cut in employers' National Insurance contributions would be beneficial, while a further third said it would help them if the banks started to lend more money, more fairly.
