Pub diversification on increase, report shows
More than nine out of ten pubs have diversified into new types of services over the past twelve months, an industry survey reveals.
A labour market review of the licensed industry, carried out by People 1st, the Sector Skills Council for the hospitality industry, and the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII), reveals that 94% of pub, bar and nightclub managers have tried out new services in their businesses, such as extended food menus, accommodation, post office services and hosting community groups.
