Extend trade credit top-up scheme, say retailers
The British Retail Consortium (BRC) has called for the Government to extend the Trade Credit Insurance Scheme after a survey of small businesses reveals that nearly a third feel the reduction or withdrawal of trade credit insurance has had an adverse effect on their business.
The BRC recommends that the cover period for the scheme is extended back to 1 April 2008, rather than the current cut-off date of 1 October 2008.
