Rural firms most at risk in Scottish licensing law implementation, says BII

Rural businesses have been most affected by the implementation of the new licensing laws in Scotland, the head of the Scottish branch of the British Institute of Innkeepers (BII) has said.

Janet Hood explains that the requirements of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 will cost small businesses hundreds of pounds and put rural firms, such as village shops and tourist attractions, at risk of closure.
