Holiday sickness ruling will affect small businesses, warn lawyers
The recent ruling at the European Court of Justice, which says employees can claim extra annual leave if they are sick while on holiday, could "create a legal minefield" for small businesses, according to employment experts.
MEP Roger Helmer told The Telegraph that small business owners will now have to plan employees' annual leave very carefully and could mean that firms suffer from staff shortages.
