FPB urges Ofgem to reconsider small business energy contract
The Forum of Private Business (FPB) has urged energy regulator Ofgem to reconsider its decision not to ban rolling contracts, which cost small businesses considerably more for their utility bills.
The call comes as Ofgem's investigation into the practice is due to finish on 15 September. A spokesperson for the FPB said that these contracts are "unfair" and often lead to firms paying "much higher rates" on their utility bills.
