Government cuts cost of trade credit insurance scheme
The Government has cut the cost of its Trade Credit Insurance Top-up scheme after feedback from businesses.
The price of the top-up cover will decrease from 2% down to 1% of the amount to be covered. The lower limit of cover, which was originally £20,000, has been scrapped and the upper limit increased from £1 million to £2 million. The Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (BIS) said that the move is designed to help more firms benefit from the scheme.
