Contractors and freelancers warned to check self-employment status
Accountancy firm Danbro has warned contract and freelance workers to check that they fit the criteria of being self-employed in case the Government cracks down on false self-employment.
Although the main focus of the consultation is on workers in the construction industry, Danbro warns that other contractors could face a large fine and have to pay any unpaid tax.
