Search marketing is most resilient marketing medium, report shows

Search marketing has been shown to be the most resilient of the online marketing methods, according to the latest Bellwether report from the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA).

Figures in the report show that firms' budgets for internet marketing fell by 7.9% during the second quarter of 2009. However, search marketing budgets dropped the least, by only 5.4%. The chairman of the IPA said this was down to "increased confidence in the tracking and accountability of the channel".
