Business rate Deferral Payment Scheme regulations to come into force

Regulations are due to come into force that will allow businesses to defer payment of 60% of the increase in their 2009/10 business rate bills over three years.

The Non-Domestic Rating (Deferred Payments) (England) Regulations 2009 will come into force on 31 July 2009. The measure was first announced in March when the Chancellor said that "businesses need help to ease their cash flow".
