Amendments to Building Regulations come into force from October
New minimum water efficiency requirements will be introduced when the Building (Amendment) Regulations 2009: New Part G in Schedule 1 comes into force on 1 October.
Under New Part G, there will be new rules on sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency in new houses. This includes minimum requirements for water efficiency, the supply of water for drinking and requirements for sanitary conveniences and washing facilities.
