Equality Bill could lead to cost burden for convenience stores
The proposed Equality Bill could lead to increased costs for convenience store owners, the trade body for the industry has claimed.
The Association of Convenience Stores (ACS) has put forward concerns that the Bill, which requires employers to report pay levels for male and female staff, will be costly and bureaucratic for small firms. ACS chief executive James Lowman said that the requirements of the Bill will "represent a significant burden" for shop owners.
