Business owners have been warned against hiring cheaper contractors because this may lead to more workplace accidents.
Legal experts have said that employers who take on contractors with inadequate health and safety training are increasing the risk of accidents. Jeremy Bradshaw, personal injury specialist at Mace & Jones, said that many businesses "get this area badly wrong".
