Changes to EU VAT rules could increase outsourcing costs for UK firms
A change to VAT rules in the European Union (EU) could mean increased costs for UK firms who outsource administrative services to other countries, according to a report in Accountancy Age magazine.
New rules come into force on 1 January 2010 which will state that VAT must be charged according to the country where the customer is based, rather than the country of the supplier.
