Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme extended to social enterprises
The Government has announced that the Enterprise Finance Guarantee (EFG) scheme will be extended in a bid to improve lending to businesses and social enterprises in disadvantaged areas.
Business Secretary Lord Mandelson announced the move, which will allow these firms to access up to £20 million in loans through Community Development Finance Institutions (CDFIs).
