Body set up to reduce health and safety burden on construction firms
A body has been set up with the aim of reducing the health and safety paperwork burden on construction firms.
The Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) Competence Forum has been established following concerns of the construction industry about the amount of pre-qualification (PQ) assessments and other paperwork they have to fill out to tender for work. These assessments were introduced in May 2009.
