Government to hand out grants to small charities
The Government has announced it will hand out £750,000 worth of grants to charities that work with vulnerable people.
The management of the grants will be overseen by public body Capacitybuilders. The programme will be developed over the next two years, while the packages of support will be handed out to up to 30 charities. Liam Byrne, Minister for the Third Sector, announced the support and said that the Government wants to hear from charities who are working to "bring about positive changes in our communities".
