The Government has proposed changes to the law governing the disposable of electronic goods.

The Government has proposed changes to the law governing the disposable of electronic goods. Under the UK's Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations, businesses must recycle electronic and electrical goods. However, the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) has suggested a reduction in the amount of administration involved. Business and Economic Minister Ian Pearson said: "My priority is to streamline the system, while reducing the administrative burden placed on businesses by the requirements for demonstrating compliance."
