E-mail marketing better than social network marketing, say experts
Research has revealed that e-mail marketing messages are more likely to persuade 18-34-year-olds to buy something than marketing via social networks.
The research, from marketing firm ExactTarget and the Center for Media Design at Ball State University, also identified six personas and how they prefer to receive their marketing messages. A spokesman for the study said:
"It is too easy to assume that the media consumers choose for their own news, information and entertainment are, by default, the best media to use for marketing messages."
