Economic gloom leads to more home-based businesses
The credit crunch is prompting increasing numbers of people to start up and run their business from home, according to new research.
The 2008 Home Business Report, carried out by BT and Enterprise Nation, has found there are now 2.5 million home-based businesses, a 16% rise on this time last year. This means that over half of the UK’s small and medium-sized enterprises are now run from home.
