UK drivers pay more for fuel
UK drivers pay more for fuel than drivers in major European car-owning countries.
That's according to pollsters uSwitch, who found that Britons paid around £1.19 for a litre of petrol in July but Spaniards paid 96p a litre, as reported by Ananova.
A spokesman for uSwitch said Brits pay around 7% more to fill a car than their European neighbours, and for drivers who relied on their cars for business, or who live in remote areas, leaving the car at home was not an option.
