Rising costs threaten small businesses
The biggest threats to the future of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are rising prices and energy costs.
According to a survey by business social networking website, BT Tradespace, 83% of small businesses are worried about the increasing price of oil.
Ivan Croxford, general manager of BT Tradespace, said SMEs have three ways they can deal with the present high costs - absorb it themselves, cut other overheads, or pass it on to customers.
