BPF launches empty rates hotline
The British Property Federation (BPF) is stepping up its campaign against charging full rates on empty shops.
It is calling on businesses to rally together to explain the impact the rates are having on their businesses.
The BPF claims the levy equates to a stealth tax that has damaged businesses, stopped regeneration schemes and encouraged the early demolition of older properties.
The BPF wants businesses affected by empty rates to contact them by e-mail at info@emptyrates.com.
