Farmers turn to migrant workers
A survey of 3,400 farmers has revealed that 16% employ foreign nationals on their farms or are thinking of doing so.
The research by Farm Business magazine also revealed that Polish workers are now integral to the British countryside, The Cumberland News reported.
However, the House of Lords is arguing that immigrants are having an effect on training for young workers, as well as low paid workers.
