UK needs more female role models, says expert
Britain is in need of more female role models to encourage more women to start their own business.
That's according to Professor Susan Marlow of Leicester Business School, who says that although most people can identify female entrepreneurs such as Anita Roddick or Laura Ashley, these role models are out of reach.
Professor Marlow told an audience in Liverpool that more local role models who have achieved 'smaller but attainable success' are needed to help encourage the next generation of female entrepreneurs.
