Small firms scared to discipline staff
Almost half of small firms (48%) are scared to discipline staff because they fear they will get sued.
That's according to employment law firm Peninsula, whose survey also found that 79% of employers fear it is only a matter of time before they are taken to an employment tribunal.
A spokesman for Peninsula said that many businesses are convinced that employment law protects employees and they are afraid to tackle serious workplace issues, onrec.com reported.
