Organic Advisory Service launched for farmers
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has launched an Organic Advisory Service aimed at farmers thinking of converting to organic production methods.
Conservation and rural services body Natural England will manage the service on Defra's behalf and will provide conventional farmers with impartial information and advice on what conversion will mean for their business.
The service will include a national helpline and a website, as well as a farm visits service.
